Army Public School, Meerut Cantt proudly hosted the District Level Deliberation (DLD) Workshop on Computational Thinking & Artificial Intelligence on August 22, 2026.

The event was honoured by the presence of Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar, CBSE District Co-ordinator & Principal, K.L. International School, Meerut, as the Guest of Honour.

District Level Deliberation Workshop on CT & AI

Army Public School, Meerut Cantt hosted the District Level Deliberation (DLD) Workshop on Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on August 22, 2026, with the aim of empowering educators with practical and effective approaches to integrate CT and AI into regular school education.

The event was graced by Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar, CBSE District Co-ordinator and Principal, K.L. International School, Meerut, as the Guest of Honour. He interacted with the participating educators and highlighted the significance of Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence in preparing students for the rapidly evolving educational and technological landscape.

The workshop also brought together eminent educationists and subject experts, including Mr. Naveen Sharma, Academician and Subject Expert; Mr. Sandeep Kumar Gupta, BIMT College, Meerut; and Ms. Preeti Malhotra, Principal, The Aaryans, who served as Guest Speakers and members of the Jury Committee. The event was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Arif Mohammad Sattar, Associate Professor, Dewan VS Group of Institutions, Partapur, Meerut, and Ms. Sangeeta Kashyap, Principal, Radha Govind Public School, Meerut.

The distinguished speakers shared valuable insights into the practical integration of CT and AI into the school curriculum. They emphasised that these concepts can be introduced in simple, meaningful and age-appropriate ways across subjects, enabling teachers to move beyond technology-based learning towards problem-solving, creativity, logical reasoning and responsible use of AI.

A total of 11 schools presented their case papers and innovative practices, showcasing diverse approaches to integrating Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence in school education. More than 40 teachers participated in the workshop and gained practical ideas and strategies that can be implemented in their classrooms.

Following the presentations, the Jury Committee identified the best case-papers. Army Public School, Meerut secured the first position, followed by International Public School in second position and Radha Govind Public School in third position.

Dr. (Mrs.) Reeta Gupta, Principal, Army Public School, Meerut Cantt, spearheaded the initiative and continuously encouraged the participating educators. She highlighted the importance of integrating CT and AI into mainstream education and motivated teachers to adopt innovative and experiential approaches to classroom learning.

The participating teachers found the workshop highly enriching and expressed that it provided them with a clearer understanding of how Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence can be meaningfully integrated into everyday classroom practices. They appreciated the practical examples, case presentations and interactive discussions, which helped them connect CT and AI with problem-solving, creativity, logical reasoning and experiential learning across subjects. The teachers also reflected that the workshop enhanced their confidence in introducing AI in a simple, age-appropriate and responsible manner. They valued the opportunity to learn from fellow educators, exchange best practices and take back practical strategies that could be implemented in their respective classrooms.

 

The event was supported by Vice-Principal Ms. Shristi Sneha Rai and the event in-charges Ms. Yukti, Ms. Prerna Sharma and Mr. Nitin Shukla. The programme was effectively moderated by Ms. Payal Abrol.

The DLD Workshop concluded as a meaningful platform for collaboration, exchange of best practices and professional learning, reinforcing the need to equip educators with the knowledge and confidence to make Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence an integral part of contemporary school education.
